Your launch after applying to CQC

Registration lets you open. Your launch gets you found, booked and staffed.

While CQC decides, we build your website, Google profile, directory listings, social media, enquiry scripts and job adverts. It all goes live the day you are registered, checked by our compliance team. Pick only what you need: one fixed fee per item, paid once.

How it works

Each step has a compliance check built in, because each one has its own way to go wrong.

  1. Now

    You are here

    While CQC decides

We build everything you choose and you sign off every word. Nothing is published before you are registered.

Compliance check. Every service we describe matches the regulated activities and service types you applied for.

  2. Registration day

    Everything goes live

Your website, Google profile, listings and social profiles go live within five working days of your registration, and your job adverts go out. HLTH Manage is ready with your policies and staff records.

Compliance check. Your registration is described accurately: no "approved" or "accredited", and nothing that could pass for a rating.

  3. First month

    First enquiries, first applicants

Your enquiry scripts and launch posts are working, and your Google Ads campaign is running if you chose one. A month after launch we review what came in and what to do next.

Compliance check. Adverts are checked against the CAP Code, including the ban on advertising prescription-only medicines to the public.

  4. After that

Run it yourself, or have us run it

Everything we built is yours. Run it yourself, or have us keep it running on a monthly plan, including putting your rating on your website and listings when CQC publishes it.

Compliance check. CQC's guidance gives you 21 calendar days from publication to display your rating on your website and at your premises.

HLTH Manage from your first day

Every launch includes HLTH Manage, HLTH's compliance, HR and day-to-day management platform, free for your first three months. Your policies, staff records and evidence live there from day one, building towards your first inspection.

  • Ready for inspection

Evidence filed against CQC's quality statements, so you can see what is covered and what is missing before an inspector does.

  • Policies people have actually read

Policies issued to every member of staff to read and sign, with a running count of who has and who has not.

  • HR in the same place

Staff records, supervisions, appraisals, training and leave. Sensitive details are locked, and every opening is logged.

  • One list for the day

Everything overdue or due in the next two weeks, from fire door checks to DBS renewals, in one place you can search.

Why launch before you are rated

Most new services trade for well over a year without a rating, and staff are hard to find. These figures come from CQC's own register and other published sources.

What you can say before you're rated, and what you can't

Most of these mistakes are made in good faith, by people copying what others do. Each line below comes from CQC's, the ASA's or Google's own published rules, and your launch follows every one.

  • SayRegistered with the Care Quality Commission, with a link to your CQC profile

Not"CQC approved", "CQC accredited" or "endorsed by CQC"

CQC's terms say registration "is a legal requirement and is not in itself an indication of quality", and that "Regulated by" must not be changed to words such as accredited or endorsed. Source: CQC promotional graphics terms (opens in new tab)

  • SayCQC's own "Regulated by" graphic, which it provides for services that are not yet rated

NotThe CQC logo on its own, or any badge that could pass for a rating

CQC says registered providers "should always use the official promotional graphics to show that they are regulated". It has "Regulated by" versions for services that are not yet rated. Source: CQC: who can use the graphics (opens in new tab)

  • SayA Google Business Profile at the address you actually work from

NotVirtual offices in other towns, to look local where you have no base

Google says a virtual office "isn't eligible for a Business Profile". CQC says "We do not consider virtual offices to be a location". Source: Google Business Profile guidelines (opens in new tab)

  • SayClinics: the consultation, the condition you treat and who treats it

  • SayOnce rated: your current rating, with its date, on your website

NotAn old rating, or a previous provider's rating shown as if it were yours

Regulation 20A requires your most recent rating and its date on your website. CQC adds: "If you choose to display an inherited rating, you must make clear that it was awarded to the previous provider." Source: CQC: display your ratings (opens in new tab)

After launch: run it yourself, or let us

Everything we build is yours, in your name. Run it yourself with the review we give you a month after launch, or have us keep it running on a monthly plan: social media, adverts, recruitment, the AI enquiry desk, website hosting and HLTH Manage.

Monthly plans start at £495 a month and run for an initial three months, then month to month. Nothing monthly starts unless you ask for it.

What providers say about HLTH

Your launch: common questions

Is this a contract?
No. Each item is a fixed fee, paid once. Monthly help is a separate choice you can make later, and nothing monthly starts unless you ask for it.
What happens after the first three months?
HLTH Manage and website hosting are included for your first three months. After that, keep them on any monthly plan, or take your website and accounts with you. They are in your name either way.
Do we need to have registered with HLTH?
No. Any provider waiting on CQC, or newly registered, can use the launch. If we are handling your registration, we already know your service and your application, so we can start straight away.
Can you start before CQC has registered us?
Yes, and it is the best time to. We build everything while your application is with CQC and publish it the day you are registered. Nothing goes public before then.
Can you guarantee clients?
No, and be wary of anyone who does. We commit to the work: your launch goes live within five working days of your registration, once you have signed off the words.
How long will it be before CQC rates us?
Nobody can tell you that. CQC says it will usually assess new services within 12 months, but its own annual report found that only 4% of newly registered services had been assessed within 12 months, at December 2024. Plan to win your first clients without a rating.
Can we win council work straight away?
Sometimes, but rarely in the first year. Some councils rank unrated providers below rated ones: Essex's 2025 home care framework suspends unrated providers from its ranked list until they are rated. Others want proof you are already caring for people: Portsmouth asks for evidence of care to at least three people. Council rates are tight too. The Homecare Association puts the average council rate for 2026/27 at £25.05 an hour, against its £34.42 minimum. So we usually start with private clients and build towards council work.
Who owns the website and accounts?
You do. Your website, Google profile, social media and advertising accounts are in your name from day one, and you keep them whatever happens.
